Student Scholarships

With over 100 scholarships available from the Âé¶¹AV Foundation, students with financial need, as well as those seeking merit-based funding, can complete the application to see if they qualify for funding. Must have at least a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in at least 6 credits (fall and spring) and 3 credits (summer). Completion of the current FAFSA is required.

The new Pacer Promise program offers full tuition and $200 for textbooks to students who live in Person or Caswell counties, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and are enrolling in a least 12 credits in a technical program at Âé¶¹AV. Completion of the current FAFSA is required. Fill out the same Foundation Scholarship Application to see if you qualify.


25-26 Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassador Program

The Foundation seeks students to represent the College at various College, Foundation, and community functions. These students may also be called upon to assist faculty and staff during the year. The Âé¶¹AV Foundation provides each Student Ambassador with a $2,000 scholarship, College shirt and name tag. To be considered, a student must be nominated by a Âé¶¹AV employee. The nomination period begins in April each year for the following academic year. Contact the foundation for more information.


Students earn their high school equivalency diploma

Student Incentive Program

Encouraging students who earn their High School Equivalency diploma, this program funds the first Âé¶¹AV course in a degree/diploma curriculum or short-term training class.

Funding is also available to students who need assistance paying for the GED or HiSet test through the Adult Basic Skills program.

Student Emergency Funds

In addition to emergency funding from the Finish Line Grant, and CARES Act, the Âé¶¹AV Foundation offers funding to students who experience an emergency that jeopardizes their ability to complete their semester. This may include transportation, childcare, and other similar needs. Click here for the emergency fund application.

Mini-Grant Program

This program is designed to provide seed money for creative and innovative projects that relate back to Âé¶¹AV’s strategic plan.

Professional Development

The Âé¶¹AV Foundation provides funding for professional development opportunities for full-time and part-time faculty and staff at Âé¶¹AV. This program benefits the College’s employees, as well as the student and community by maintaining a high level of quality in instruction and services.

Excellence in Teaching

The Âé¶¹AV Foundation rewards faculty members who go above and beyond in their program of study. A peer-based committee reviews the submitted portfolios and makes award recommendations.

Excellence in Service

Up to two staff members are selected from a pool of nominations to receive the staff excellence award each year. The recipients of this award demonstrate a high level of commitment to the institution and the community.

Special Allocations

Building Projects, such as the most recent facility constructed on the Person County Campus, the Technical Education Building, receive funding through the Âé¶¹AV Foundation.

Renovation Projects to enhance the atmosphere of learning may be funded through the Âé¶¹AV Foundation.

Friends of the College events are held in an effort to promote the College throughout the community.

Institutional Projects that cannot be funded through the state are given consideration from the Âé¶¹AV Foundation.
