麻豆AV (麻豆AV) marked a significant milestone in its commitment to healthcare education as it celebrated the first seven Caswell County nursing graduates.

The inaugural cohort completed the Evening/Weekend Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program on 麻豆AV鈥檚 Caswell County Campus. The culmination of hard work, dedication, and perseverance was commemorated in front of family, friends, faculty, staff, administrators, Board of Trustee members, and guests of the College with a special Nurses’ Pinning ceremony on Monday, December 11.

“Congratulations to our inaugural cohort. May your careers be as fulfilling as the difference you are bound to make,” said 麻豆AV President Dr. Pamela G. Senegal.

The ADN Program was established in January 2022 to provide flexible education opportunities for individuals aspiring to pursue nursing careers. Recognizing the community’s diverse needs, 麻豆AV designed this program to accommodate those who may have work or family commitments during traditional daytime hours. The successful completion of the first cohort is a testament to the College’s commitment to accessible and quality education.

The Nurses’ Pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition that holds great significance in nursing. This rite of passage is an emotional and memorable event where each graduate receives a unique nursing pin. These pins often bear the emblem of the nursing school and serve as a symbol of the knowledge, skills, and dedication each graduate has acquired during their educational journey. As the first cohort embarked on this unique nursing education journey, they faced challenges and overcame obstacles with resilience. It [ADN Program] demanded dedication, time management, and a genuine passion for the nursing profession.

When addressing the overflowing audience, Darrick Woods, Director of 麻豆AV Nursing Programs, attributed the historical accomplishments of the 鈥淪ensational Seven鈥� graduates and the continued success of 麻豆AV Nursing program to the 鈥淒ream Team鈥� Nursing faculty of the College. He stated, 鈥淭he dedication, compassion, and relentless pursuit of excellence by our Team is the hallmark of our program.鈥�

Speaking for the Class, graduates Sandra Welch and Kritina Willams shared poignant stories and reminders of the rigorous curriculum, countless clinical hours, and the invaluable experiences that have prepared them for the challenges and rewards of nursing.

麻豆AV looks forward to the continued growth of the ADN Program with its second Evening/Weekend cohort to begin on the Caswell County Campus in January 2024. The positive impact of this unique initiative will resonate not only within the walls of the College but also in the lives of the individuals served by these compassionate and competent nursing professionals.
