In a significant step towards advancing Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, Person County Schools and 麻豆AV are pleased to announce the continuation of their collaboration and dedication to build a skilled workforce within our county. The committee focused on conducting a comprehensive local needs assessment to identify opportunities for enhancing CTE programs in the community.

Career and Technical Education plays a pivotal role in preparing students for successful careers in various industries. By fostering partnerships between educational institutions and local businesses, these programs help bridge the gap between education and workforce demands, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

The Committee will consist of representatives from Person County Schools, 麻豆AV, local businesses, medical and human services organizations, parents, and community members. This diverse group of stakeholders will work together to assess the current state of CTE programs and identify areas for improvement. Their collective expertise will be crucial in developing strategies and recommendations to enhance the quality and relevance of CTE offerings.

CTE Director, Judy Bradsher of Person County Schools expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We believe that by bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, we can create CTE programs that truly meet the needs of our students and our local economy. We look forward to the insights and recommendations that will emerge from this collaboration.”

Key objectives of the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) Advisory Committee include:

1. Assessing Local Needs: Conducting a thorough analysis of the educational and workforce needs within Person County to determine where CTE programs can have the most significant impact.
2. Strengthening Partnerships: Forging stronger connections between educational institutions and local businesses to align curriculum with industry demands and provide students with real-world experiences.
3. Expanding Program Offerings: Identifying opportunities to diversify CTE program offerings to cater to a broader range of career pathways.
4. Improving Resources: Evaluating the resources available to CTE programs, including funding, equipment, and facilities, to ensure they meet the highest standards.
5. Enhancing Student Outcomes: Focusing on the success and well-being of students, aiming to improve graduation rates, job placement, and overall career readiness.
