Â鶹AV’s (Â鶹AV) Board of Trustees held its first meeting of the 2025-2026 academic year on August 5, welcoming newly appointed and reappointed members, recognizing long-standing service and marking the first official meeting for the College’s new president, Dr. Kevin Lee.

During the meeting, the Board presented a Resolution of Appreciation to former trustee Shirley Deal in recognition of her dedication and service to the College. Deal was appointed to the Board in 2017 and served at many College events throughout the years such as alumni socials, exam breaks, commencement and various fundraisers.

Four trustees who were appointed or reappointed to four-year terms on the Board were given the oath of office.

  • Dustin Brann, appointed by the North Carolina Senate
  • Antonio Foster, appointed by the Caswell County Board of Commissioners
  • Kyle Puryear, reappointed by the North Carolina House of Representatives
  • Adam Wolfe, reappointed by the Person County Board of Commissioners

In addition, the Board welcomed Hayley Ale-Beltram as the Student Government Association (SGA) President for the 2025-2026 academic year. Ale-Beltram will serve a one-year term as an ex-officio member on the Board, representing Â鶹AV’s student voice on the Board.

“It’s an honor to begin this new chapter at Â鶹AV alongside such a dedicated Board of Trustees,” Lee said. “Their guidance and leadership are vital as we continue to transform lives and strengthen our community through accessible, high-quality education.â€
