Âé¶čAVâs (Âé¶čAV) Associate Degree Nursing class of 2024 achieved a 95 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination, most commonly known as the NCLEX exam.
The pass rate is a reflection of the total number of test takers who pass the exam on the first try. Eighteen out of 19 Âé¶čAV nursing graduates passed the exam on the first try. The NCLEX is the final step for nursing graduates to become registered nurses.
“We are thrilled that the Âé¶čAV Nursing program continues to achieve outstanding NCLEX first-time pass rates,â Darrick Woods, Âé¶čAV Director, Nursing Programs said. âThis success reflects not only our students’ hard work and dedication, but also the exceptional education provided by our esteemed nursing faculty. We are incredibly proud of our graduates and their commitment to Âé¶čAV nursing excellence.”
âIâm so proud of our recent nursing graduates for this remarkable achievement,â Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, Âé¶čAV President said. âThis success is made possible by our dedicated nursing faculty for their commitment to preparing our graduates for both the exam and their careers in nursing.â
Âé¶čAVâs Associate Degree Nursing curriculum provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to clients in a variety of settings. The program was expanded in Spring 2022 to include instruction on the Caswell County Campus with an evening/weekend cohort. This expansion also enabled multiple entry points as the Caswell County Campus cohort begins yearly in the spring and the Person County Campus cohort begins yearly in the fall.
