Âé¶čAV (Âé¶čAV) is partnering with the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) in Danville, Virginia for the Growing Regional Agriculture event, a regional gathering designed to connect farmers, producers and agricultural partners from Southern Virginia and Northern North Carolina.
The events will be held on May 6, 9-11 a.m. at IALR and aims to spotlight opportunities for farms of all sizes, introduce participants to emerging regional food hub efforts and encourage collaboration across county and state lines.
Emily Buchanan, Executive Director of Âé¶čAVâs Caswell County Campus, will be speaking at the event about Âé¶čAVâs Center for Educational and Agricultural Development (CEAD). Located in Pelham, North Carolina, CEAD is currently in the design stage of the first phase of the project which includes a food hub in partnership with 4P Foods and incubator farm plots.
âAfter years of work on CEAD, itâs incredibly meaningful to see this vision expanding beyond our county and into a broader regional collaboration that supports both farmers and communities,â Buchanan said.
