Cypress Creek Renewables awards $25,000 to the college for Pacer Promise scholarships and to strengthen its existing electrical training program

Âé¶čAV (Âé¶čAV) and Cypress Creek Renewables (Cypress Creek) are pleased to announce that Cypress Creek has provided $25,000 in funding to Âé¶čAV for programs that will help meet the growing workforce needs of the energy industry.

“We are grateful to Cypress Creek Renewables for their donation, and we look forward to this collaboration as we join forces in preparing the workforce for careers in solar energy,” Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, Âé¶čAV President, said.

The total donation from Cypress Creek included $20,000 for state-of-the-art equipment that will strengthen the existing electrical training program at Piedmont and fund digital marketing campaigns for Âé¶čAV’s Electrical Power Production, Welding, Mechatronics, and Industrial Systems Technology programs. An additional $5,000 was donated to the existing Pacer Promise Endowment for curriculum and continuing education student scholarships.

“Long-term partnerships that benefit communities and address our industry’s future workforce needs are an essential part of what we do at Cypress Creek Renewables,” stated Harrison Cole, Cypress Creek’s Senior Project Developer. “We are excited that our collaboration with Âé¶čAV will help bolster their existing programs that train much needed electricians and other trades, and we look forward to creating additional initiatives that will benefit Person County.”
