Âé¶čAV (Âé¶čAV) Chemistry Instructor Cheston Saunders has been invited to serve on the Advisory Board for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) BRIDGES program.

The BRIDGES program develops high-quality, classroom-ready case studies based on research from DOE national laboratories. These resources are designed for high school and early undergraduate students, introducing them to bioenergy concepts and career pathways while helping prepare the next generation of the bioenergy workforce.

Advisory Board members provide valuable insight into how to promote and design case studies, recommend new partnerships and review future materials from an educational and industry perspective. Saunders will also help expand the program’s reach by sharing resources through his professional networks.

“Cheston’s appointment is a significant achievement that reflects the depth of his expertise and the respect he has earned, ”Alisa Montgomery, Âé¶čAV’s Interim Dean for University Transfer and General Education, said. “We are incredibly proud of him and confident that he will offer meaningful contributions while serving as an outstanding representative of Âé¶čAV.”
